Endpoint security, also called antivirus or anti-malware software, is one of the key lines of defence against a multitude of cyber security threats.

Antivirus was initially focussed on detecting and removing viruses. However, as other types of malware emerged, including browser hijackers, ransomware, keyloggers, rootkits, trojan horses, worms, adware and spyware, protection software evolved to cover these too.

Some solutions also provide protection against other threats, including malicious URLs, spam, phishing attacks, and privacy compromises.

What this means to you

According to AV-TEST, there are over a billion different malware variants in existence, with hundreds of thousands of new ones emerging every day.

While it is possible to protect devices and data using free tools, these often lack the features necessary to provide a deeper and more complete level of security.

In particular, zero-day vulnerabilities as they’re called (which are weaknesses that haven’t yet been patched by software vendors) cannot be effectively mitigated by signature-based antivirus products, and need a ‘next generation’ endpoint security solution.

Why we are good

We partner with leading anti-malware and EDR/EPP solution providers.

EDR is Endpoint Detection and Response: a more modern approach to mitigating cyber threats than traditional signature-based antivirus solutions, continually monitoring and responsing to known and unknown issues.

EPP is an Endpoint Protection Platform: a single solution providing real-time response to threats and the ability to kill offending processes and even reverse changes and roll back Windows systems to a prior state.

What we can do

We look after thousands of endpoints, and we can provide and manage market-leading endpoint security software for your business quickly and affordably. If you have an older antivirus solution, get in touch and find out more about the ways we can help you improve your security.
